About Off The GrYd

Founded in 2022 by Brock Eissman During a camping trip with a group of friends & long time clients talking around the campfire and hearing about how some of his closest friends were struggling, the idea for Off The Gryd was born.

This was the perfect blend of brock’s love for the outdoors and men’s mental health as a sport psychologist running a practice in southern California focused on mental performance.

Most men burry down the weight they’re carrying year after year, not realizing they need someone to talk to or somewhere to go so they can reset and come back the best version of themselves.

that’s how off the gryd became a community.

We are here to give men a place to build community, a place to grow, a place to talk, and a place to just be themselves.

A graphic design poster for GYRD Divisions includes three sections. The first section promotes the GYRD Mindset Podcast with text about weekly episodes focused on men's mental health, available on all major platforms. The second section promotes Off the GYRD Therapy, highlighting trips like camping, exploring, fishing, and more. The third section promotes GYRD Mental Performance, describing one-on-one mental performance sessions for men, including veterans, responders, and athletes.

The Creed of
Off The Gryd Therapy

We, the men of Off The Gryd Therapy, stand committed to the relentless pursuit of personal excellence, valor, strength, vulnerability, and faith. As a community of men on this path, we vow to:

1. Forge Bonds – Build an unbreakable brotherhood with men who share our resolve. In unity, there is strength; our alliance is the bedrock upon which we support each other's vulnerabilities, struggles, and triumphs.

2. Conquer Challenges – Embrace the wilderness. Each trial while off the gryd equips us with resilience and fortitude, mirroring the battles we face in our daily lives. Knowing that whatever adversity that may come, we will not give up, and we will never fail. Failure only happens when you quit, and we will never quit.

3. Prioritize Well-being – Maintain vigilance over our mental, emotional, and physical health. Our excursions are not mere escapes but missions to regenerate and fortify our souls, enabling us to return to civilization as leaders; replenished and resolute.

4. Lead Change – Inspire leadership in our homes, our work, our trusted circle, and beyond. Investing in our growth, we inspire and uplift, becoming pillars of integrity and leadership in our communities.

5. Respect the Terrain – Respect and protect the wilderness that we utilize. For in these places, we find clarity, peace, and rest, essential for our strategic trips. Leave no trace.

6. Cultivate Legacy – Strive to leave a lasting impact that goes beyond our time as fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, and friends. Through our actions and the examples we set, we aim to create a legacy of strength, honor, and wisdom for future generations to follow. Masculinity is necessary.

Together, we move forward, redefining the path to a life of fulfillment and purpose.
